Where will my massage or bodywork session take place? |
|
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort. |

No. However, Swedish massage is traditionally practiced with the client unclothed, since undergarments tend to interfere with the long, flowing strokes. Shiatsu sessions are given with the client clothed. Your comfort is of paramount importance to me, and I will gladly accommodate your preferences. You will be properly draped during your session. |

Must I be completely undressed? |

Occasionally. Due to the varying regulations from town to town in Massachusetts, I can only make house calls in limited areas, and not at all for first time clients. All requests will be handled on a case by case basis. |

Do you make house calls? |

Will lubricant be used? |
|
A light oil or lotion may be used to permit your muscles to be worked on without causing excessive friction to the skin. The lubricants I use are organic, hypo-allergenic, and readily absorbed. |

How long will the session last? |
|
The average full-body Swedish massage lasts approximately one hour. But I don’t do average. I take about an hour and a half for a full-body. Less time spent means less areas covered, but that may be what you want or need. A half hour is a good start for head and neck work, back, or legs and feet, but an hour allows for more thorough treatment. A full-body shiatsu session also requires about an hour and a half. An hour of shiatsu, while not treating all of the body’s twelve meridians, feels fantastic and is still time well spent. We will spend a couple of minutes at the start of your session discussing the desired outcome of that day’s massage. |

You and I will discuss the desired outcome of the session. This will determine which parts of your body will require massage. A typical full body massage will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders. Abdominal work will be incorporated at your request. You will not be touched on or near your genitals (male or female) or your breasts (female). |

What parts of my body will be massaged? |

No. I will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet. However, all minors will be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the treatment room. |

Will anybody be present when I disrobe? |
|
Yes. You will be properly draped with a clean sheet to keep you warm and comfortable. Your dignity and modesty will be honored at all times; only the area being worked on will be exposed. |

Will I be covered during my session? |
